Curious Cove Camp

Room 1 and 2 are off to Curious Cove camp in the Marlborough Sounds next week. This camp is a highlight camp as we get to go all the way to the beautiful Marlborough Sounds and for many of us it is the first time crossing the ferry and going to the South Island. We are leaving early on Monday morning so that we can get to the ferry and hope to arrive in camp around 2pm. While we are there we will climb Mount Kahikitea, visit Motuara Island, kayak, do a flying fox, examine the native bush and the sea shore, fish, and complete a confidence course.
Our camp is part of our rich learning. In rich learning, called "Out of our Comfort Zone!", we are focusing on understanding ourselves and others so that we can effectively participate and contribute to our world... WOW! That's big! We are also developing the following learning dispositions: Manage our distractions and my reaction and Collaborate. So... everything we are doing on camp will involve us learning to manage distractions and reactions, and having to collaborate!
We are so looking forward to it and please keep posted for our reviews after camp!
